There’s a fast and a slow way to get online sales.

This “cheat sheet” is for people who want the fast way.

There are literally 5 steps to increasing your online sales fast. Here they are.

1. First, get off all social media. Seriously. Get off Facebook. Get off Instagram. Twitter. All of it.

2. Stop overloading your calendar with useless activities that drain your energy. This may include conferences, networking events, studying web design, playing Pokéman, watching the news, or other engagements that don’t lead directly to increased online sales. You probably already know which activities are stealing your time, energy, and money. Be brave and scrap them.

3. Tighten up your product descriptions, sales pages, and your online store page. Make it ridiculously easy for people to order your products. Make the
ordering process “dummy simple” to maximize conversions. This means taking out everything that is even the slightest bit confusing or complicated.

4. Set up a sales funnel for your most popular product. A “sales funnel” is an elegantly designed system that walks people through an automated process of getting to know your company, your values, and your products. It inspires the right people to place online orders with you and tell their friends and family about you.

A basic sales funnel includes a landing page (NOT your main website), an irresistible “free gift,” and an email autoresponder sequence (a series of 10-15 emails that are automatically delivered, over a period of weeks, to anyone who signs up for your free gift). We start with your most popular product, because we know it already has a proven track record for sales, and it will help you build momentum in selling your other products.

5. Do something everyday to build your email list. Start emailing your list daily, twice a day, or as often as humanly possible. Your email list is where the majority, if not all, of your online sales will come from — i.e., people who have voluntarily given you their email address. NOT using this resource to the max is borderline irresponsible. Until subscribers hit the “unsubscribe” button, assume that they’re extremely interested in hearing from you (because they are!).
